This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features an abstract painting of a sunset. Mandy Budan began studying art in high school and advertising design in college. Mandy worked for many years as a graphic designer in both print and digital media. Always fascinated by the vibrant colors and shapes that make up the Canadian landscape, Mandy started painting in 2000. She works with acrylic paint on wood panels, she works to transform the landscape into a series of abstract patterns. Her work is in private and corporate collections around the world. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame.
