Because Lakshmi possesses all of these good and noble qualities, She embodies infinite wealth~ symbolizing that good and noble qualities are the only wealth we can keep. As mentioned in the Shatapatha Brahmana, Sri is the purest and the original form of Lakshmi. Sri is the auspicious energy (consort) of Lord Vishnu. It is Sri from who the gods and other heavenly personalities derive their energies in the matter of the cosmic maintenance.
